A beautiful song by Fairuz, that like so many of the classic songs from this era of Lebanese music composed by the Rahbani Brothers, combines scenic natural imagery with feelings of nostalgia and melancholy to evoke this very specific sense of longing that has come to be a powerful motif in the modern music of Lebanon.
